Brecht is a lifestyle commercial photographer and director based in Venice Beach. He began his career doing set photography on feature films in New York while studying at Parson’s School of Design.

Brecht’s focus is on capturing authentic and candid moments by developing a genuine relationship with the talent. His commercial work spans from brands such as Hilton Hotels, SoHo House, Condé Naste, Rosewood Hotels, True Religion, Ancestry, and Sleep Number. Recently, Brecht’s expertise has been athlete profiles such as Travis Kelce, Aaron Judge, and Shilese Jones for the energy drink, Accelerator.

Brecht specializes in directing video assets along with his commercial photoshoots. He is passionate about marrying the two to tell a cohesive and comprehensive story for brands.  

As a California native, Brecht’s creativity bleeds into every avenue of his life. His love of surfing the California coast and photographing it gained early recognition with his video of the infamous wave called the Wedge in Newport Beach, California. Brecht’s thirst for adventure has brought him around the world, from India to Tanzania, his scope is broad and dynamic and his ideas are endless.
